What has changed

SettlePair is in active development and is used in the open. Every entry below describes work that shipped — nothing here is a roadmap promise.

Releases

  1. August 18, 2026

    Clearer review screen

    • Suggestions are now one line each, with confidence shown as “Strong evidence”, “Likely” or “Worth a look” alongside the score.
    • The matched part of a bank description is highlighted inside the evidence drawer, so you can see what the score was based on.
    • Keyboard review: J and K to move, A to approve, X to reject, E for evidence, Space to select for a bulk action.
    • Published the full scoring model, including its limits.
  2. August 11, 2026

    Match memory and session resume

    • Payer rules: teach SettlePair that a bank description belongs to a customer, and it applies next time. Rules are stored on your device and can be exported, imported or wiped.
    • Opt-in session resume so a refresh no longer loses an hour of decisions. Saved sessions expire after 30 days.
    • Privacy wording corrected throughout: files never leave the browser, but rules and sessions are stored locally.
  3. August 4, 2026

    Reference matching fix

    • Fixed a bug where an invoice reference embedded in a bank memo (“WIRE IN NORTHGATE DENTAL PMT 1042”) failed to score as a reference match.
    • Added a signal for amounts printed inside the description.
    • The ambiguity penalty no longer suppresses a suggestion that carries a genuine invoice reference.
    • Reconciliation totals replaced with an honest funnel: unexplained deposits and unmatched invoices are counted separately, never summed.
  4. July 28, 2026

    Import robustness

    • Comma, semicolon and tab separated files are detected and the detected separator is shown.
    • Row-level import issues report the row number, what went wrong and a suggested fix.
    • Date format can be set explicitly (MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY or ISO) so ambiguous dates are never guessed.
    • Exported CSV cells are neutralised against spreadsheet formula injection without corrupting negative amounts.
  5. July 21, 2026

    Allocations and export

    • Allocate one deposit across several invoices, several deposits to one invoice, and part payments — all in integer cents with the remainder visible.
    • Review queue with search, filter, sort, bulk approval of high-confidence suggestions and session undo.
    • Export now includes record type, allocated amounts and remaining balances.
