Acceptable use
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective and last updated August 18, 2026
This policy sets the limits on how SettlePair may be used. It forms part of the Terms of Use. The rules are short because the product is narrow: it reads CSV files in your browser and helps you review payment matches.
Files and data
- Do not process files you have no right to access, use or disclose.
- Do not use SettlePair to handle data in breach of confidentiality obligations, contracts, or privacy and data-protection law that applies to you.
- Do not upload or open files containing malware, or files crafted to exploit a parser or browser.
Access and integrity
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its hosting infrastructure, or any account, system or network connected to it.
- Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service except as described on the Security page, and never in a way that degrades it for others.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the service, for example through denial-of-service traffic, automated scraping at a volume that burdens it, or circumvention of technical limits.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the service except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Conduct
- Do not use SettlePair for fraudulent, deceptive or otherwise unlawful activity, including falsifying financial records.
- Do not misrepresent SettlePair output as verified, audited or professionally certified — it is a review aid that requires your own check.
- Do not impersonate SettlePair, or use its name, wordmark or interface in a way likely to mislead.
- Do not abuse, threaten or harass anyone who supports the service.
Enforcement
If we reasonably believe this policy is being breached, we may limit, suspend or discontinue access, and we may report activity to the authorities where the law requires it. Because SettlePair has no accounts and processes files in your browser, enforcement is generally limited to blocking abusive traffic and to legal remedies.
Reporting and contact
Report suspected misuse, or a vulnerability, to support@settlepair.com. For vulnerability reports please read the Security and Data Handling page first.
